This identity was inspired by the idea and history of the U Street / 14th Street corridor as the "Black Broadway". The home to Duke Ellington and host to many of the greatest jazz musicians and performers, MidCity continues to be the vibrant core of DC to this day. Its a neighborhood that buzzes with energy, reflected here in the dots which evoke the lights and marquees of Broadway, the neon pink, and the arrangements of language, imagery and shapes that echo the diverse, artistic community that lives, works, shops, and parties here. It is a neighborhood of rich history, diversity, arts, new cuisine, and the modern.
It is MidCity.
